dread+not
= Do not fear.
It’s a play on words.
It also sounds like the name of the battleship: “dreadnought”
“Dreadnought, British battleship launched in 1906 that established the pattern of the turbine-powered, “all-big-gun” warship, a type that dominated the world's navies for the next 35 years.”
- Encylopedia Britannica
Why the ship reference?
At “dreadnot” we like to think of ourselves as if we’re adventurers at sea.
We know why we’re away from home, it’s because we love the craft. We’re seekers of creativity and can’t imagine being anywhere else but in a place where stories are told.
Much like a “dreadnought” ship, our crew isn’t just on any boat— it’s a warship, and we came to make our mark on the vast seas of entertainment.
